Installation
Follow the procedure below to install the Compact Button:
- Determine the position of the Compact Button on the inside of the vehicle’s window *.
- Clean the inside surface of the window. Make sure the window is completely oil and dirt free.
- The suction cup is the Compact Button front side (active part). This part should face the outside of the window.
- Firmly press the section cup against the window in line-of-sight with the reader.
- The Compact Button has now been mounted correctly.
* It is recommended to mount the Compact Button on the same side as where the reader has been positioned. In case of a metalized windshield, we advise to place the Compact Button near the rear view mirror. For more specific information, please contact your vehicle owner manual or contact your dealership.
Usage

Change operating mode
Follow the procedure below to change the operating mode from always-on to user-activation (or reversed).
- Press and hold button for 6 seconds. After 6 seconds the buzzer will sound 3 short beeps.
- Release the button. The buzzer plays a sound to indicate success

Replacing the battery
The Compact Button contains a replaceable non-rechargeable CR2450 coin cell battery. The average lifetime of this batteries is approximately 8 years. Battery-low situation is indicated upon button press with Morse SOS signal.
When replacement becomes necessary follow the procedure below.
- Open the battery compartment. Use small screwdriver if needed.
- Remove the empty battery. Follow local environment protection laws / regulations for disposal of used batteries.
- Place new CR2450 3V Lithium battery. Make sure to keep positive polarity upwards.
- Close the battery compartment. Button beeps 3 times to indicate power-up.
Warning
- INGESTION HAZARD: DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
- A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
- Keep new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children
