The readers can be used in typical multi-lane applications.
The read range can be adjusted, offering accurate identification in demanding applications.
By default the reader is set to read full range, but this can be easily adjusted using an internal threshold setting.
The Transit Ultimate has a read range control circuit, called Squelch, on-board. This can be activated with DIP-switch SW3-1. After activation the yellow SQUELCH EN LED will light up meaning the read range control is active.
Turn the SQ level potentiometer to ‘min’ to get the maximum read range. Adjust it slowly and test if the reduced detection range is as you wish. When the front LED on the housing is set to automatic you can use this to determine what the optimum detection range is.
